Angélica M. Casas is a multimedia journalist from San Antonio, Texas. She holds a Master of Journalism from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Spanish from Our Lady of the Lake University.
Casas’ work has appeared in the BBC, the PBS Newshour, AJ+, the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Antonio Express-News and Richmond Confidential. She is also a two-time student Emmy winner.
Casas uses text, photo, video and graphic design to tell stories in English and Spanish. She covers issues related to underrepresented communities, social injustices, immigration, borders and the arts. In a recent trip to Ciudad Juárez she reported on gender violence and the HIV epidemic.
